Description
Magic® High-Temp Red Silicone is a heavy-duty, single-component RTV sealant formulated specifically for extreme heat environments. It cures at room temperature to form a tough, flexible rubber seal that acts as a direct replacement for traditional pre-cut gaskets.
Whether you are rebuilding an engine or sealing heavy industrial machinery, this heat-resistant adhesive ensures a leak-proof bond that will not shrink, sag, or crack under intense thermal cycling.
Key Benefits of High-Temp Red Silicone
-
Extreme Heat Tolerance: Reliably withstands continuous temperatures up to 600°F (315°C) without losing its sealing strength.
-
100% Leak-Proof Seal: Forms a permanently flexible, waterproof, and airtight barrier against moisture and pressure.
-
Chemical & Oil Resistant: Holds up against hot engine oil, transmission fluid, antifreeze, and standard workshop chemicals.
-
Sensor-Safe Formula: Formulated to be completely safe for use on modern vehicles equipped with oxygen sensors.
-
Vibration Resistant: The rubbery cure absorbs mechanical vibrations, preventing the seal from fracturing during operation.
Common Automotive Applications
Automotive workshops across Pakistan rely on this sealant for critical, high-heat engine repairs.
-
Engine Gaskets: Replaces paper, cork, and rubber gaskets on valve covers and timing gear covers.
-
Fluid Pans: Creates a durable, leak-free seal for transmission pans and engine oil pans.
-
Cooling Systems: Ideal for sealing water pumps, thermostat housings, and radiator connections.
-
Exhaust Components: Safely seals exhaust manifolds and slip-fit exhaust pipes.
How to Apply for the Best Results
-
Clean the Area: Thoroughly scrape off any old gasket material, remove all grease, and wipe the surface completely dry.
-
Apply the Sealant: Squeeze a continuous, even bead of the high-temp red silicone around the perimeter of one part, ensuring you completely circle all bolt holes.
-
Assemble Parts: Wait roughly 10 minutes for the sealant to “skin over” before pressing the components together. Hand-tighten the bolts.
-
Final Torque: Allow the sealant to set for 1 hour before fully tightening the bolts to the required torque specs. Wait 24 hours for a full cure before exposing it to fluids.
